STUART Bingham has secured his progression in the World Grand Prix after seeing off Mark Williams with a comeback victory.
Bingham looked to be in trouble at Preston's Guild Hall venue, having fallen to a 2-0 deficit.
But the Bowers Gifford-based 41-year-old, who made his comeback from a ban at the Snooker Shoot-Out last week, won the next four frames to seal a 4-2 victory in the best-of-seven frames first round clash.
Despite Williams taking the opening two frames, Bingham played some decent snooker, scoring more than 50 points on both occasions.
However, Bingham was to turn the encounter on its head, as he claimed four consecutive frames to advance.
