THE MATCH: East Thurrock United host Bath City looking to continue their upward ascent and record a first win in a month.

Rocks’ clash at Concord Rangers fell afoul of the weather on Tuesday.

But recent draws against Eastbourne Borough and Weston-super-Mare will have boosted morale around the Corringham-based side following their mid-season slump.

Bath picked up excellent results against Hampton & Richmond Borough and Braintree Town in the last month, but needed a last minute equaliser to draw with bottom club Whitehawk last weekend.

Rocks were thumped 4-0 in the reverse fixture, and will be looking to set the record straight.

THE INSIGHT: “I am happier with performance levels and we need to turn draws into three points now,” said boss John Coventry.

“We will play tomorrow and the pitch is looking fine, with freezing the only concern.

“Bath are a good side, but when we lost 4-0 we were particularly awful.

“We have had a few days like that and we need to make sure we don’t stoop to that low level again. What I will say is Bath have not seen the real us this season.”

THE TEAM NEWS: Max Cornhill could return, George Allen has gone to Canvey Island to get game time following injury, with Harry Honesty loaned to Harlow Town.
