A LAST-GASP goal from Poole Town means Concord Rangers survival bid will go into the final weeks of the season.
Needing just a point to ensure their survival, the Beach Boys shipped a goal in the last minute which means Poole remain in the hunt for survival.
Adam Flanagan’s men knew a point would be good enough to keep them in the division, but they were up against a team that needed all three in the Essex sunshine.
Poole had the best opportunity of the first 20 minutes and were unfortunate not to take the lead when Carl Pettefer’s superb strike crashed off the face of the crossbar and away to safety.
Marvin Brooks brought a terrific save out of Louis Wells as Concord looked to ride the storm.
The best the home team mustered in the first 45 minutes was a header from Andy Freeman but the ball went over the crossbar.
The pressure continued to grow on the home goal in the second half but a resilient effort by the Beach Boys defence kept out the visitors from the south coast.
That was until the final minute when Steve Devlin picked up the ball and hammered home leaving Concord needing a point from their final two matches.
Concord Rangers: Wells, Girdlestone, Brown, Topley (Smith 57’), Roast, Knight, Littlejohn, Freeman, Taaffe, Cawley, Greenhalgh
