SOUTHEND Sharks Rugby League are being put through their paces in a bid to maintain their fine start to the season.

Sharks are currently top of the East RL Division One table but are now being put through their paces by Jerry East, the owner of the family-run ABC Gym in Eastwood.

And Sharks player coach Jordan Piper feels the partnership will be hugely beneficial.

“The guys here have the knowledge and the platform to help us push on,” said Piper.

“We really see this being beneficial moving forward as we look to continue our positive start to the season.

“We’re top of the table and we want to end our first season with some silverware.”

And East is also keen to help make that happen.

“I’ll do as much as I can fitness-wise to help and I’ve offered them discounted membership to stay strong throughout the season,” he added.
