Echo:

SOUTHEND United striker Theo Robinson will be doing all he can to carry on the form he showed at the end of last season.

Robinson scored four goals in his final four games of the previous campaign.

And the 29-year-old - who netted in Blues’ 5-0 win at Great Wakering Rovers on Saturday - is determined to maintain his free-scoring form.

“The hard work we’re putting in now is to make sure we’re fully fit for the season ahead and for me personally so I can keep getting goals,” said Robinson.

“I was pleased with the way I ended last season but I want to keep that going now and score regularly throughout the season.

“It was good to score against Wakering but I know I have to keep working hard if I’m to get picked by the manager.”
