SOUTHEND United winger Stephen McLaughlin is keen to extend his honeymoon period into the new season.
McLaughlin got married this summer and now has his sights set on more memorable moments with the Shrimpers.
“It was a great summer and the wedding was an amazing day but everything seemed to go so quickly and now we’re back in pre-season,” said McLaughlin.
“It’s been a memorable time but hopefully this season will be too because we all want promotion.”
Blues will head back home from Spain tomorrow and McLaughlin feels the trip abroad has been hugely beneficial.
“It’s been roasting hot but we’ve done a lot of very hard work and I think it’s been really good,” he added.
