HARRY Wheeler admits Billericay Town were not good enough to beat Concord Rangers tonight.
Town drew 1-1 with the Beach Boys, with Moses Emmanuel’s last minute strike enough for a point.
And Wheeler said, while he was pleased to take something from the encounter, he expected more from his team.
“We had the lion’s share of the game but we weren’t forward-thinking and we lacked that authority,” said the Town boss.
“The game passed us by and that is not good enough. There were good bits and bad bits but we huffed and puffed and struggled to get the goal.
“It could be a good point later in the season. It feels like a decent point now because we scored so late and it may feel like a defeat for them.
“We didn’t have structure and I will look at that. The substitutes did very well and had key contributions.
“We go again on Saturday.”
