JAKE Robinson’s fifth goal of the season was enough for Billericay Town to defeat Wealdstone and make it seven points from nine in the National League South.

Town were looking to get some revenge on the team that had beaten them 5-2 in last season’s FA Trophy, but Wealdstone started brighter.

Town could have found themselves behind after 10 minutes but Joe White’s penalty was not a good one and Alan Julian made the save.

The usually clinical Jake Robinson was off target, while Alfie Potter should perhaps have done better having broken through but his strike was saved by Jonathan North.

But the goal was to come and it was little surprise who scored it. Robinson netted his fifth of the campaign on the half hour with a composed finish and that was how it stayed at half-time.

Into the second period, Joe Kizzi’s strike was tipped onto the crossbar by North but Town were to hold on.

Although they needed a fine save from substitute goalkeeper Louis Wells late on to take the points.

Concord Rangers are also on seven points from their three games after narrowly edging past Dulwich Hamlet.

Alex Wall was looking the most likely to add to his tally of three goals this season but the game was an even contest in the opening half hour.

The first goal came on 35 minutes and it was a first goal for the club for Jack Midson. The former professional and assistant manager climbed highest to put the Beach Boys in charge.

Dulwich hit the frame of the goal in the second half as the hosts pressed for a leveller with chances at both ends.

East Thurrock United were beaten 2-0 at Torquay United as their pointless start to the season continued.

Ruairi Keating scored twice for the home team to win the match.

A chance came and went for Danilo Orsi-Dadomo midway through the half, with the American striking into the arms of the home goalkeeper.

And it was the hosts that were to get the first goal.

Keating broke through three minutes before the interval and slid the ball beyond Jack Giddens.

The second was to follow seven minutes after the interval, with the same man picking up a superb pass to head home.

And that was how it stayed.
