SOUTHEND United manager Chris Powell has yet to discover his punishment for being red carded against Plymouth Argyle.

Powell was sent to the stands along with Pilgrims boss Derek Adams during Saturday’s 1-1 draw at Home Park.

But the Shrimpers chief is still not sure why he was sent to the stands.

“I’m trying to work out what I got sent off for,” said Powell.

“I didn’t leave my technical area and I never swore at an official.

“Derek Adams has said he told my player to shut up but I don’t think I would’ve reacted if he just said shut up.

“It was a lot stronger than that, that’s obvious and quite disgusting really.

“I pushed him away because I didn’t want to hear that but I would like to see what the report will say.”

However, Powell will definitely be on the touchline for Tuesday night's Carabao Cup clash with Brentford.
