ECHOSPORT talks to Bradford Telegraph & Argus reporter Simon Parker ahead of tomorrow’s game at Roots Hall?

How have the first few games been for Bradford this season?

“A bit up and down so far.

“City made a very encouraging start at Shrewsbury, winning an open game 1-0 that could have finished 4-3.

“But they came back down to earth against an impressive Barnsley at Valley Parade and failed to get a single effort on target.

“They were also knocked out of the League Cup at the first stage for the fourth year running – and third on penalties.

“City were on top for most of the 90 minutes at Macclesfield but paid the price for not taking their chances.”

What are the hopes for Bradford this season?

“Having fallen away so badly from January onwards last season, City will be realistically targeting a play-off place again.

“But anything in the top 10 will be seen as improvement.”

Blues will know all about Josh Wright and Jack Payne. How have they started off with Bradford?

“Josh Wright was proud to be handed the captain’s armband and is clearly enjoying the added responsibility of leading such a revamped team.

“Payne scored the winner against Shrewsbury and hopes are high for him as the attacking midfielder that City have been lacking.”

What’s the team news for the game this weekend?

“Winger Tyrell Robinson has been suspended by the club.

“Jake Reeves and Alex Jones are both still coming back from long-term injury but otherwise Michael Collins has plenty of options.

What’s the predicted starting line-up?
