BEN Coker has left Southend United after six years at Roots Hall.
The left-back, who has made 208 appearances for Blues, told club chiefs of his desire to leave after his contract expired.
But Coker - who is now expected to sign for League One newcomers Lincoln City - tweeted his thanks to the Shrimpers.
"Some six years aye," said Coker.
"I can’t thank everyone enough for the support and belief shown in me over the last six years!
"Southend will always be in my heart.
"It's a fresh start and a new chapter in my career but what a great club to play for.
"Will be seeing you next year too."
Coker has been out of action since October after suffering a cruciate ligament injury at Sunderland.
