RUNWELL Old Boys went to Old Parmiterians needing a win to wrest the Premier Division title from the grasp of Ford Basildon.
And with goals by White, Carter and Lee they are duly crowned Champions after the 3-0 win.
Ford Basildon must now wait to see if Writtle will deny them runners-up spot in their final match. A win for Writtle at Beacon Hill will do that.
West Essex required a win to preserve their Division One status and would not have relished playing a side laying in second place.
But after going a goal down they hit a seven-minute purple patch to lead 4-1 against Maidonians.
Branchflower,Hawkins,Crook and Copse had given them the lead which Maidonians reduced before Branchflower scored his second to make it 5-2. Maidonians then banged in another couple of goals to make the last few minutes a nervous time, but West Essex hung on to their 5-4 result to stay up.
Goals by Farmer,Howard and Garner gave Springfield a 3-1 win against Frenford Senior.
Division Two West side West Essex must have prayed to the gods as Shenfield with three goals by Lovell and one by Tarling saw off Old Parmiterian reserves by 4-0 thereby sending them through the relegation trapdoor and saving West Essex reserves' status.
Runwell Hospital sit bottom of Division Three East following a 4-0 home defeat to Hawkwell Athletic whose goals came from Power with three and Blythe.
In their final Division Three West match Sporting Club Henderson Reserves needed to beat champions Newbury Park to gain promotion as runners-up. They must have been secretly delighted to see Newbury Park turn up with a depleted side and even more pleased as goals went in at regular intervals to give them an 8-2 win and promotion. On target were Finch, Pavlo, Parrish and Sullivan, each with two goals. Katsiounis and Thomas replied for Newbury Park.
Shaw and Wren scored the goals for Billericay club Hannakins Farm that enabled them to draw 2-2 with bottom side Horndon.
