Belfairs Ladies: June Woollard (26) was in masterful form in the ladies’ Stableford as she amassed 39 points to comfortably take first place.
There were no less than five ladies battling it out for second spot and so countback decided the issue with the following ladies on 34 points — Joan Howroyd (31), Lena Lovett (16), Linda Wellham (28), Terri Hirons (19) and Hazel Webber (25).
Howroyd’s better back nine earned second spot while Lovett took third.
On Saturday Belfairs entertained Royal Epping Ladies in their third match of the Harris Bowl competition.
Belfairs came out overall winners with a 3-2 victory. All the matches were closely fought with four matches going to 18 and one finishing on the 17th.
Winning members were Joan Smith (2 up), Alex Meddle (2 and 1) and Christine Berry (2 up).
Unfortunate losers were Lena Lovett and Sue Meddle, who both went down on the 18th.
