Basildon golf professional Daniel Brooks faces a hectic schedule if he qualifies for all four rounds of the French Open.
For the event on the other side of the Channel finishes on Sunday and on Monday and Tuesday Brooks, based at his uncle’s club in Mill Hill, will be in action in the 36-hole final qualifying for the Open Championship in Scotland.
Brooks is one of three south-east Essex stars going for a place in the star-studded Open field at Turnberry later this month.
The others are Orsett amateur Steve McAnally and former Thorpe Hall club champion Brett Taylor, now a pro based at Chelmsford.
Brooks qualified for the French Open and the final Open qualifying during a purple patch which also saw him triumph on the EuroPro Tour.
