Tillingham 2nds 203-7 South Weald 2nds 206-3 Canvey Island Cricket Club has had a great three weeks, picking up maximum points each time in the T Rippon Essex Mid League division 3.
Not only that, but one player who has climbed through the youth system, 18-year-old Ellis Skidmore (who lives on the Island) has managed to complete a hat trick of 100s. His first was against Pegasus and Corringham where he scored exactly 100.
His second ton came at home to Navestock where he managed to score 145 and his third century was at home to Rayne where he scored a massive 151 n/o.
No one in our club has ever managed to complete back to back to back 100's which is a great achievement and is a record breaking achievment fully deserves a write up.
In the Canvey Island v Rayne encounter Canvey won the toss elected to bat first and scored 302-2. Top of the heap was E.Skidmore with a masterful 151 not out. Big contributions also came from J Wall (67) and P Ward (72). Rayne were all out for 124.

Pegasus came out to bat andnegated everything the Rettendon bowlers could throw at them, with only Martin Everitt 2 for 49 and Mark Everitt 2 for 38 and Luke Snelling 1 for 38 showing any signs of pulling off a victory.
Pegasus reached their target off the penultimate over, with 3 bats doing the most damage, Hutchinson 36, Trigg 66 and Pike 44no.
