BOTTOM of the table Old Southendian and Southchurch have been boosted by the arrival of three new players.
Former Southend duo Ben Wathen and Numan Khan have both been snapped up.
Another newcomer to the side is Zack Dunkley from Ekco Monarchs and Trojans.
And the club’s Simon Harwood is hoping it can lift the side for their crucial home clash with fellow strugglers Leigh on Sea tomorrow.
“This is a must win game for us and hopefully the new arrivals can be a turning point for our season,” said Harwood.
“We aren’t out of it and it’s still quite close but we do need to start winning as soon as we can.”
At the other end of the league, leaders Hadleigh and Thundersley will continue their charge for the title at Buckhurst Hill.
“Things are going nicely at the moment but we want to keep it going,” said Hadleigh skipper Adam Fleming.
“A bit of a gap is opening up and we want to make it even bigger.”
Hadleigh are currently seven points clear of second placed Shenfield who are away at Horndon on the Hill.
Billericay are also on the road as they travel to Walthamstow. Other fixture: Buckhurst Hill v Harold Wood.
