SOUTHEND United manager Steve Tilson is hoping to make it four wins in a row at Yeovil Town tomorrow.
The Blues boss has guided his team to three successive triumphs at Huish Park.
And he is keen to keep up the good record.
“We’ve done well at Yeovil over the last few years so hopefully we can keep it going this weekend,” said Tilson, 43.
“They’re quite strong at home though so it will be hard and they have got together a strong, athletic side who will certainly test us.”
Tilson is again able to call on top goalscorer Lee Barnard and influential Alan McCormack who both missed last weekend’s 3-0 defeat at Gillingham with one match suspensions.
But left-back Johnny Herd, who was injured at the Priestfield Stadium, is expected to miss out – despite his hamstring problem not being as bad as first feared.
“Johnny has pulled his hamstring so it’s better than we thought,” said Tilson.
“But I don’t think he will be fit to play tomorrow but he won’t be out for as long as we thought which is good news because we’re short of players.”
Without Herd, Anthony Grant is expected to start at left back with Jean-Francois Christophe alongside Adam Barrett at the heart of the defence.
Tilson knows that is far from ideal but, as revealed in yesterday’s Echosport, he has drawn up a list of players he wants to sign on loan.
“There are two or three targets we have,” said Tilson.
“We’re just waiting for the green light and if we can bring them in then it would make a massive difference.
“It would be nice if we could bring them in before the game.”
Blues have just two fully fit natural defenders right now but Tilson has been delighted with the way his team have performed so far this season.
“They have been different class,” he said.
“They have given everything and will continue to do so I’m sure.”
