STEVE Tilson was delighted to see his side rescue an unlikely share of the spoils against Swindon Town this afternoon.
The Shrimpers were 2-0 down with just six minutes remaining at Roots Hall.
But late goals from Scott Spencer and Pat Baldwin made sure Tilson was a happy man at the final whistle.
"I've got to be pleased with a point," said the Blues boss.
"We didn't get off to a great start, but we will always give it a go and it's a fantastic point.
“Anthony Grant has had to come off injured so we've had to play Scott Malone in the centre of midfield and you do fear the worst.
“But the lads showed great spirit and character to get back into it and it was a brilliant ending for us.”
Tilson started the game against the promotion pushing Robins in a 5-3-2 formation before switching to 4-4-2 at the break.
However, the 43-year-old insisted the system was not to blame for Blues being 2-0 down at the break.
“We changed the formation to try and get our best players on the park and the goals we conceded had nothing to do with the system,” said Tilson.
