CONCORD have signed left-sided utility man Chris Bourne from Met Police and keeper Michael Jordan from Boreham Wood ahead of next season’s Ryman Premier campaign.

Beachboys manager Danny Cowley said the duo will add strength to his squad in the right areas.

He said: “We needed to find a reliable and experienced keeper because that’s something which we feel cost us last year a bit.

“And I think we’ve found that in Michael, who has became available after Boreham Wood signed Canvey’s James Russell.

“Chris has international experience with Guyana and can play at left-back or on the left side of midfield. And that’s a key area we feel we need to strengthen.

“Chris also lives on Canvey, which is a bonus for us and him in terms of travel.”

Cowley revealed the club have already retained the services of nine players: defenders Steve King and Kurt Robinson, midfielders Arthur Lee, Mitch Hahn, Nicky Cowley, James Elmes and Reece Harris, and forwards Tony Stokes and Harry Elmes.

Cowley said the club are talking to striker Sherwin Stanley and defender Lee White about the possibility of them staying at the club.

And he revealed that left-back Danny Glozier has returned from a year overseas and has re-signed.

Goalkeeper Nicky Eyre, who was released by Concord last week, has joined Ryman One North side Heybridge Swifts.
