New Canvey role - John Brandon
Canvey have appointed former Southend Manor assistant boss John Brandon as their new reserve team manager.
Brandon played a key role in helping Manor to a runner-up spot in the Essex Senior League last season and to the fourth qualifying round of the FA Cup for the first time in their history.
He also managed the Essex under-16 representative side last season, winning the South-East England Championship.
Canvey’s director of football John Batch said: “John is someone I have admired for a long time as an excellent coach, and his ability to develop young players and knowledge of the game means he is the perfect person for this role.
“I look forward to working with him, as well as Glen Alzapiedi and Laurie Carter, as we continue to put the building blocks in place in order to develop the talented youngsters of the local area through the club.”
