Tony Warner could play as Southend United trialist against Millwall

GOALKEEPER Tony Warner could be lining up for Southend United against his former Millwall side this evening.

The 38-year-old shot-stopper, who made 227 appearances during five seasons with Millwall, has been training with Blues this week.

And he could now be thrown in against the Lions in tonight's pre-season friendly at Roots Hall.

Warner started out at Liverpool and has played for 15 other clubs during his career.

Sounds a bit desperate in the search for a keeper now if Sturrock is reduced to trying to get a 38 year old in. Could be a tough struggle in League 2 this year. Goalkeeper position was a major weakness last season & cost a lot of lost points

Week to go and we are undecided about a keeper, we have only known since May.
Seems like a panic buy coming in
