Southend United make double signing on eve of Accrington Stanley clash

SOUTHEND United have boosted their squad with two new signings ahead of tomorrow’s season opener against Accrington Stanley.

Blues have brought in midfielder John Spicer on a year long deal.

And they have also signed Watford striker Britt Assombalonga on a one month loan.

Both players have gone straight in to the squad for the clash against Stanley at Roots Hall .
