Paul Sturrock - signed Paul Smith on a two year deal
SOUTHEND United have signed goalkeeper Paul Smith on a two year deal.
The 32-year-old was released by Nottingham Forest at the end of last season and has now agreed a free transfer switch to Roots Hall .
Smith, who has made 279 career appearances, has been handed the number one shirt by Blues.
But the move has been completed too late for him to play against Accrington Stanley at Roots Hall this afternoon.
