Southend United's Bilel Mohsni waits on Ipswich Town loan deal

Bilel Mohsni - on trial with Ipswich Town Bilel Mohsni - on trial with Ipswich Town

BILEL Mohsni is waiting to discover if Ipswich Town are interested in signing him on loan.

The French defender scored a 30 yard shot for the Tractor Boys' under 21 side in their 6-0 win over Cardiff City last week.

And he now hopes to leave Southend United to team up with the Championship club.

“I am waiting to find out what will happen and I'm due to hold talks with Ipswich soon so I'm hoping something can be agreed,” said Mohsni, who was allowed to play against the Welshmen as an overage player.

“Hopefully it can be done quite quickly too because I want to be playing again.”

Mohsni previously spent time on trial with West Ham United during pre-season but Blues opted to turn down the Hammers bid of around £150,000 for the 25-year-old.

It'll cost you quite a bit more as presumably he's travelling from France to Ipswich not Southend to Ipswich.

I disagree. The player has done nothing wrong. Whatever our profession we all want to perform as high up the ladder as possible. All he has said is that he doesn't want to play for Southend again. If the Club said he had to come back and play he would but Sturrock doesn't want him. I wish him all the best. Hopefully he will be with a football team that plays football rather that just pumps it forward. All the best mate.
