Westcliff Rugby Club look to get back on track at Old Elthamians
11:32am Friday 14th September 2012 in Sport By Chris Phillips
WESTCLIFF make the short journey to Kent to meet Old Elthamians in National Three London and South East tomorrow, looking to bounce back from the 51-21 defeat at the hands of Thurrock last week.
But Rob Smith is injured and Elliott Harvey is unavailable meaning the experience Nick Bard is likely to be one of the replacements.
The line-up will not be finalised until quite late on but Westcliff to not know what to expect from their hosts, according to their press officer Geoff Sawyer.
"Elthamians are new to this league and though we have played them in the dim and distant past, we don't know a great deal about them," said Sawyer.
"The boys proved they could play could rugby against Tring in the first game of the season though and the reverse against Thurrock last week stung them.
“Hopefully we will be back on track against Old Elthamians."
Old Elthamians have an identical record to Westcliff so far, along with Thurrock who will be confident of grabbing another victory when they head to winless Tring tomorrow.
