Daniel Bentley - making his first start for Blues
BLUES boss Paul Sturrock has made three changes to his starting line-up for this afternoon’s game against Exeter City, with Daniel Bentley making his full debut in goal.
The young shot-stopper has replaced the concussed Phil Smith between the sticks while Luke Prosser has come in for the injured Mark Phillips at the heart of the back four.
The final alteration comes in attack where Elliot Benyon has been handed a rare start instead of Gavin Tomlin who misses out with a groin problem.
That means Freddy Eastwood remains on the bench where he has been joined by Barry Corr who has been included in a match day squad for the first time since April 2011.
Southend United: Bentley, Clohessy, Cresswell, Prosser, Barker, Hurst, Spicer, Timlin, Martin, Benyon, Assombalonga
Substitutes: Straker, Eastwood, Corr, Leonard, Woodyard, T Smith & Njie
