Ryan Hall's future remains unclear after move from Southend United to Blackpool falls through

No Tangerines dream — Ryan Hall will not be heading to Blackpool No Tangerines dream — Ryan Hall will not be heading to Blackpool

RYAN Hall’s future remains unclear after the Southend United winger failed to agree a loan switch to Blackpool.

The 24-year-old had been training with the Seasiders ahead of a proposed move to the Championship club.

But Hall has now failed to agree personal terms with Ian Holloway’s side and is currently contemplating his next move.

However, a source close to Blues suggested it was not clear if Hall would be coming back to Roots Hall .

“Everyone just presumed Ryan would be going to Blackpool so this has come as a bit of a shock and nobody really knows what will happen next at this stage,” said the source.

“Whether or not Ryan would want to come back and play in League Two is open to debate but the situation will be discussed by all parties in the next few days before a decision is made.”

No-one was available from the club to comment about the latest developments while Hall himself opted not to talk about his future.

But there are rumours that Peterborough United could be about to renew their interest in the winger, who they tabled a £100,000 bid for at the end of August.

Hall, whose contract runs out at the end of the season, has now not played a first team game for five weeks after Blues boss Paul Sturrock claimed the former Crystal Palace trainee was not in the right frame of mind to play for Southend.

He must now ponder his next move and no deal has yet to be agreed for Blues defender Bilel Mohsni either.

The Frenchman remains on trial with Birmingham City but does not yet know if he will be signing.

“It’s going well for me at Birmingham but I’m unsure what will happen at this stage,” said Mohsni.

“I’m still waiting to hear but I would definitely like to sign for them.”

Mohsni has not played for Southend since the end of last season and did not report back for training at the start of the current campaign.

Ryan who?

Bilel who?

OK, good players both, but if Hall turns down a possible move, due to personal terms (ie: money), to a club with a great chance of promotion to the Premier league this term for a team who we could be facing in League One next season, that tells you all you need to know.

With team spirit by all accounts the best it's been since the heady days of Tilly, Goater, Eastwood etc, I honestly believe we are best shot of these two, the sooner the better.

I'm sure these comments will prove controversial, but I sense we are pulling in the right direction now and do not need any distractions.

However, squad does still need boosting in midfield, as all are aware, but cannot be done due to current embargo.

Hope to see you and Kane next season Ryan!

Not controversial at all.
Neither player can come back now as bridges have been burned.
Mohsni...lovely bloke and all that, but a complete lunatic which probably explains why he is doing a tour of so many clubs before any wil/will not commit to him.
If Ryan wants to go then fair enough, and PS is right in that he is not mentally raedy to play for us...as long as we don't get totally ripped off on the fees. We need them OFF the wage bill and we need the money in the bank whether that pays off debts or so that the embargo is lifted and we can get a couple of f resh faces in. Team spirit does look good and we don't need any boat rocking with such a small squad. UTB!

Problem is, given both players' chequered history, in Hall's case both on and off the pitch, will any club want them? Southend kept Moshni on when most other clubs would have sacked him, and also rescued Hall from the gutter into which his own criminal actions had pushed him It's a pity we cannot cancel their contracts, but retain their registration, thereby preventing them from playing for anyone else, but meaning that we don't have to pay them.

The club really need to look into these players terms & conditions of employment as to whether they should be paid by Southend whilst not wanting or being available to play matches for Blues whilst at the same time seemingly going on endless trials at other clubs subsidised by Southend. How many tours of club trials has Mohsni had? Sheff Wed interested but player not keen, West Ham, keen but only a cheap transfer fee offer, Ipswich, less than a week & he gave up, Birmingham, who knows what the outcome of that will be? Hall in a similar position & could'nt agree his wage demands with Blackpool, might get a Peterborough trial? Is he going to sit at home if Peterborough don't come in? Given the club's finances these two players are being self indulgent. PS needs to assert his authority on these players. Either get a move sorted or if not prepared to play football, then resign the contract. Sounds a harsh comment & some with disagree this approach, but a club struggling with an embargo does'nt need this problem.

Remember Hall pledging his loyalty to the club after they stuck by him when hehad his court case? Soon gone eh? Says a lot about the man as a person. Moshni - a nutter but a good player who on his day can win games. Get rid of these parasites off the wage bill. There are plenty of footballers desperate for a club who would give 110%. If a player wants to better himself at a higher level thats fine. Do it properly though and with decency and honour to the club who gave you the chance to shine. Parasites off the wage bill ASAP.

I agree with all the above.
It's becoming abit of a saga and if I'm honest boring. It appears to take of the gloss of what was a very good win last Saturday and the momentum the team is building.

Let's forget about moshni who PS gave numerous chances and Hall who should of been banged up in jail if it wasn't for SUFC. They are both history and not welcome back at roots hall.

I agree we should get them off the wage bill and get what cash we can for them before their reputations (probably too late) goes b4 them.

I hope the team does well, gets promoted and plays peterborough next season as I would love to see Kane's face when we beat them!!

Surely,if they won't play for the Club, they don't get paid?
If this is not so ......who the hell drew up their contracts with Southend ?
