Ryan Hall: I won’t be back at Southend United

No way back - for Ryan Hall No way back - for Ryan Hall

RYAN Hall has revealed he will definitely not be heading back to Southend United, despite being unable to agree a loan switch to Blackpool.

Hall has not been training with any club since a move to the Seasiders fell through last month.

But he has now been told by Blues chairman Ron Martin that he would not be welcome back at Roots Hall.

“I spoke to Ron about the situation and he said too much had gone on for me to come back to Southend,” said Hall, who was Blues’ top goalscorer last season.

“He told me I had no future at the football club and I think, to be honest, the club want me to go because they need the money.

“Even now the chairman keeps mentioning Blackpool to me because they’re willing to pay £250,000, but I’ve told him I’m not going there because we can’t agree personal terms.

“The chairman said I should go there and prove my worth on what they’re willing to pay me, but the truth of the matter is I couldn’t afford to move up north and live there on what they’re offering me.

“I never had the chance to come back to Southend after everything fell through and it certainly wasn’t my decision that I didn’t go back.

“But it’s frustrating for me now because I just want to be playing football.”

Hall is currently staying with his girlfriend in Birmingham and is keeping fit by training alone.

However, he revealed that Peterborough United are still interested in signing him, along with another Championship club.

“Peterborough are still in for me and so are another club and I’m just waiting to hear back from the club to find out who I am allowed to speak with,” said Hall.

“That’s where we are at the moment and Southend are trying to agree a price for me.”

Hall joined Blues on a free transfer in July 2010 and scored 23 goals in 105 games.

Does he thinks he's Ronaldo or something ? An average player who had a chance to prove himself at Championship level has blown it. He'll be playing non league within two years.

Don't know what you mean with your comment.
I tend to agree with the first comment.
Halls a good player in league 2. He's had a chance to go to Blackpool and try his luck in the championship but held out for more money ??!! Come on any player with half a brain would take your arm off for that oppotunity.
I would love to have him back playing at his best but clearly he thinks he's too good for SUFC. Hall you have a short memory son. And I don't think you would be welcome.
There's another 10 Halls waiting around the corner so you can jog on ...

Hall is the second player to burn his bridges, I would have paid his train fare to get him to blackpool. The lad forgot the club stood by him when he almost got sent down.

Come on SUFC, Hall and Moshni dictating their terms, this is the tail wagging the dog
If these players are under contract then they have broken their contract and so have withdrawn their labour, so why pay them?
By the way you talk to Blackpool fans and they don't want Hall at their club, they have heard he is a 'thug' and disrupts the dressing room, he could end up back at Bromley, justice.

DANDAN89... Money money money. Sometimes it isn't all about money.

Why should he play in the Championship for the same money as in Div 2? Well for exactly the reason you say; because he wants to prove himself and further his career.

It is totally a case of burning bridges, thought he could force the club's hand. He's a poor judge of character to think Ron would roll over and have his belly tickled.

There's no sympathy from here. Ryan you're a fool. Stay at your girlfriends kicking a ball against the fence to stay fit HAHA! And I'm certain that now you have crossed Ron your name will be at the bottom of the list of employees to be paid on time! And while you're there think where you'd be if we'd hung you out to dry when you were in court.

UTB!

Any player who says 'I don't want to play for you anymore & I'm not coming back' should have all wages stopped. Just wish we could do it to them, get these two bridge burners off the books.
