AQUATELS’ fish have been easy to spot this week, but have not been so easy to land.

Lee Morton fished the single willows and netted an 18lb common at the Basildon lake, while Simon Bear banked a 23lb ghostie on Essex Carp Baits CIA boilies. Glyn Bond fished the beach and had a low double stockie and Arron Newport got right among the fish while on the oaks, landing specimens of 15lb 12oz, 20lb 10oz, 13lb 12oz, 13lb 10oz, 15lb 8oz13lb and 12lb 6oz.

All the fish were taken on the new Essex Carp Baits meatball boilies.

Newport’s fishing partner Lee Harris also got in on the action with fish of 26lb 8oz and 27lb 2oz, both commons. Ryan Jenkins used Essex Carp Baits CIAs to bank a brace of fish at 23lb 5oz and 11lb.

Chris Smith also used the CIA to bank a 14-pounder from knob point.
