Barstable school pupil Liam Huntingford made the most of a trip to Billericay's Lake Meadows landing three big carp to a best of 23lb.
Liam set up one swim back from the boathouse hedge where he presented Nash shelf-life tutti fruitti boilies on semi-fixed rigs.
His first fish, a mirror carp of 15lb came three hours into his session, and was followed soon after by a common of 16lb.
After a quiet couple of hours Liam's third run of the day produced the cracking 23lb common carp.
After a fast initial run the big fish made several slower but dogged runs before coming safely to the net.
A Mainline fruit flavoured boilie proved just the ticket for bus driver Steve Spellman when he fished the Lake Meadows houses bank.
His session produced two common carp of 14lb and 15lb 8oz, as well as a fine mirror carp of 22lb, all on the same boilie!
The fish all came from open water where Spellman fished a free running rig and a PVA bag of free offerings.
