Codling still available at Southend Pier
Southend Pier: Still a few codling to be had, plus whiting and schoolies.
Cast from the stem for schoolies, flounders and the odd dab.
Southend beaches: The left hand side of the last groyne on the west beach at Thorpe Bay is good for codling after dark, but one or two may still be available in daylight.
Westcliff beaches: Codling, flounder and schoolies.
Fambridge: Still alright for codling on the saltings.
Rainham Marshes: Plenty of flounder, bass and oddeel available.
Thurrock and Tilbury: Flounders and bass and the odd sole.
Grays: Flounder and bass up to 3 1/2 lbs and the odd sole.
Gravesend: Codling of up to 2lbs and sole.
Erith: Some big eel and bass up to 3lbs.
East Coast: Head to Aldeburgh for codling of up to 8lbs, Felixstowe for codling up to 2lbs.
