LAKE Meadows regular Paul Green has set the standard for others to follow at the Billericay venue by landing 17 carp in four relatively short sessions.

Green's first big catch came from the boathouse hedge, where he fished Nash Scopex squid boilies to include fish of 22lb 8oz and 22lb 4oz in a six-fish haul.

He opened his account with a common of 18lb before landing a bigger common of 22lb 8oz.

The rest of his session continued in the same manner with a mirror of 22lb 4oz and two other 17lb-plus fish.

Green returned to Lake Meadows a few days later, and once again finished his day having landed six carp.

This time his haul consisted of five double-figure specimens and a bigger mirror of 22lb 8oz.

Spurred on by this success, Green fished two consecutive evening session to add another five double-figure specimens to his list.

Tom Westcott also came up trumps at Lake Meadows, landing a mirror carp of 22lb 12oz from the houses bank.

The big carp, Westcott's first of the year, fell to a proactive pineapple boilie fished at close range.

The Lake Meadows houses bank rewarded Jim Pearce with a new personal best 21lb 12oz mirror carp.

The big specimen was tempted by a string of popped up cockles fished over half a pint of free offerings.
