Eastwood School’s cross-country runners continued to impress in match three of the Essex League.
The boys repeated their success from the first match by winning and the girls toughed it out for seventh place.
Year seven George Elliott ran strongly again to claim second place and take the overall individual lead in the league.
James Nadin again worked through the field to finish strongly in fouth place.
He was followed by birthday boy Daniel Frimley in 12th and then the improving Joe Ray in 16th.
This team lead the Essex League after three races.
The girls under-13 race competition was loaded with excellent athletes from across the county.
With Georgina Friswell injured, Eastwood’s Jodie Avis finished first home in 29th for Eastwood.
Chelsea Stephens was close behind in 31st.
Then came Taylor Nolan in 36th with Lucy Brown in 39th. This is great experience for the year seven girls who will be able to compete in the same competition next year.
