ESSEX Leopards start their push for play-off glory against Tees Valley Mohawks tomorrow.

The Big Cats will be looking to reach the final four of the end of season competition for the fourth time in the past five seasons.

And Leopards’ star Greg Hernandez knows what his team must do to make that happen.

“To beat the Mohawks we need to control the tempo of the game and control their guards,” said Hernandez. “Also we need to limit our turnovers against their press and limit their possessions on offense.”

But, whatever happens at the Brentwood Centre tomorrow night, Hernandez feels Leopards should be proud of what they have achieved this season.

“Getting into the play-offs is a big accomplishment for the club, especially after the start of the season and everything we’ve gone through as a team from early season defeats and injuries,” said Hernandez.

“Last weekend was a great weekend for the team, beating Tees Valley and Northumbria which means we go in to the weekend full of confidence.

“Now we want to make that count.”

Saturday’s game at the Brentwood Centre tips off at 7pm with normal game-day prices of £6 for adults, £4 for children and £16 for a two adult, two child family ticket.
