Essex Pirates to begin new term with clash against Leicester Riders

ESSEX Pirates will start the new season with a trip to Leicester Riders in the British Basketball League Trophy at the start of October.

The Southend based side triumphed just once last term.

And they will be looking to improve this time around.

Tim Lewis’ team have been drawn away to Glasgow Rocks in the opening round of the BBL Cup and start their championship campaign with a trip to the Sheffield Sharks.
