RYAN Cresswell and Kevan Hurst are both set to have scans on the injuries they picked up during Tuesday’s 2-1 defeat at Brentford.
Centre-back Cresswell was forced off with a shoulder problem while Hurst suffered a reoccurrence of a back injury.
But Blues boss Paul Sturrock does not yet know how long the pair will be out for.
“Until they have the scans we won’t know how serious the injuries are,” said Sturrock.
“It doesn’t look good at the moment but we’re obviously hoping they won’t be too bad.”
However, it has now been confirmed that midfielder Marc Laird will be out for two to three weeks with the pulled hamstring he suffered against Exeter City last weekend and on loan striker Britt Assombalonga is rated as 50/50 for Saturday’s game with Plymouth.
The forward has missed five of Blues’ last six games with the ankle injured he sustained during the 3-0 win at Dagenham & Redbridge on Boxing Day.
