Russell Slade - believes Leyton Orient can still beat Southend United and reach Wembley

First published in Blues by

LEYTON Orient manager Russell Slade is certain the O’s can still win their two legged tie Johnstone’s Paint Trophy tie against Southend United.

The O’s head to Roots Hall 1-0 down from the first leg at Brisbane Road.

But Slade has not given up hope of getting through to Wembley.

“We’ve made life very difficult for us but there’s a lot to play for as it’s still only half-time,” said Slade.

“We’re now the underdogs and Southend have got an advantage now at home.

“I would think they probably think the job is mainly done but I think it’s far from over though and there is a lot of football still left.”

Ha ha - you couldn't even fill any end of your ground last night with empty red seats all over the place. How poor. You didn't get behind your team and we completely outsung your fans. You don't deserve to be at Wembley. And where do all your fans actually come from? Certainly not locals by the look of the area. Your supposed to be a division higher? Don't play like it. Come on the blues - finish the job.
