BEN Reeves’ late goal against Leyton Orient sent Southend United to Wembley and the final of the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy, but the midfielder is not sure if he will get to play at the home of English football.

Reeves, who bagged an injury time goal to secure Blues a 2-2 draw and a 3-2 aggregate win against the O’s on Wednesday night, is only contracted to the club from Southampton until the end of the month.

However, he is keen to remain at Roots Hall and play in the final of the JPT against Crewe Alexandra in April.

“My loan spell from Southampton ends before the final but of course I want to stay and play in it,” said Reeves, 21.

“I’ll be having a word with the manager and it was a massive moment when my goal in.

“I’m more used to scoring in reserve games than in front of crowds like this and I didn’t really know what to do when it went in.

“It wasn’t a very good finish from me but it went in and that’s all that matters.

“The crowd were brilliant and everyone is buzzing about reaching Wembley.

“It’s massive for us and it was great that we could do it for all the players that were injured.”
