Devonshire strengthens his midfield options with Southend United loanee

Braintree Town manager Alan Devonshire has strengthened his midfield options ahead of a busy run of Blue Square Bet Premier games with the loan signing of Southend United youngster Alex Woodyard.

The 20-year-old has joined the Iron on a month-long deal ahead of their home game against Woking on Tuesday.

The game is the first of a run of four home games in eight days for Braintree.
