FREDDY Eastwood returned from injury to fire Southend United to a dramatic 1-0 win at Burton Albion this afternoon.

The Shrimpers striker had missed his side’s last two games with a hamstring injury.

But he came off the bench against the Brewers to net an injury time winner.

Burton had been forced to play the whole second half with 10 men after striker Billy Kee was sent off after being shown two yellow cards.

The first came within 40 seconds for a foul on Ryan Leonard and his second arrived on the stroke of half-time following a late lunge on Ben Coker.

However, after withstanding a spell of Southend pressure at the start of the second period, Burton almost opened the scoring with Alex MacDonald heading just wide and substitute Matty Palmer hitting the post.

But, two minutes in to stoppage time, the Shrimpers bagged a late winner with Eastwood bagging his fifth goal of the season.

The striker latched on to a half cleared Kevan Hurst before sending a deflected 16 yard shot in to the back of the net via the inside of the left post.
