SOUTHEND United manager Phil Brown could be plotting another loan swoop on Norwich City.

The Shrimpers chief has already brought impressive young striker Jamar Loza to the club on an initial month long deal.

And he could now return to Carrow Road to snap up another of the Canaries talented teenagers, winger Jacob Murphy.

“Jacob could well be an option for us if Chris (Hughton) sees that another loan spell will do him good,” confirmed the Shrimpers chief.

“We have been to watch a few of the Norwich games this season and were very impressed by both of the Murphy brothers, as well as Jamar.

“Josh has since gone on to be in and around the first team at Norwich but Jacob could well be someone we look to bring in.”

Murphy has just completed a loan spell with League One Swindon Town where he made seven appearances for the first team.

Prior to that, the 19-year-old had made his debut for the Canaries, coming on for his brother in a 1-1 draw against Fulham in the FA Cup in January.

Murphy has represented England at under 19 and under 18 age-groups and is highly regarded at Norwich.

The Canaries have already allowed Loza to join Blues for a month and he produced a stunning man of the match display against Oxford on Monday night, scoring in a 3-0 win at Roots Hall.
