SOUTHEND United have unveiled their two new kits for next season and Martin Dawn as their latest sponsors.

The property company owned by Blues’ chairman Ron Martin has taken over from Insure & Go which opted to end their eight year long association with the club at the end of last season.

But the announcement of the new sponsorship deal has received a mixed response with several fans telling Echosport it was enough to stop them buying the kits. The new home shirt was shown off for the first time at the club’s annual Meet the Blues Day event at the Boots & Laces training ground yesterday and features far more white than in recent seasons.

The away kit remains yellow and black but features just one large stripe this time around.

Martin Dawn’s logo appears on both kits and it is the not the first time it has sponsored the club after also doing so for the 2002/2003 season.

However, the club refused to comment on the length of their latest sponsorship deal or what is was worth to them.

The kits are now available to pre-order on the club’s website www.southendunited.co.uk or from the club shop.
