FOUR of Southend United’s players are wanted on loan by other clubs.

But Blues boss Phil Brown has yet to decide whether or not to allow them to leave.

“We’ve had clubs come in for four of our players but we need to think long and hard about what’s right to do at this stage,” said Brown.

“Three of the players in question are youngsters but the other one is a senior player.

“We’ll be keeping it in house who it is at the moment but it’s at that stage of the season where players start to know if they are in manager’s plans.”

Brown has also made enquiries about bringing in another loan signing himself and has made contact with three clubs already this week in a bid to make it happen.

Brown is still keeping tabs on Norwich City midfielder Cameron McGeehan but he will not be playing for the Shrimpers at Ipswich Town today.

The youngster will instead be in action for the Canaries’ under 21 team against Tottenham Hotspur at Carrow Road.
