SOUTHEND United manager Phil Brown has made six changes to his starting line-up for this afternoon’s game against Exeter City at Roots Hall.
Ryan Leonard will line up at right-back in place of the injured John White and will also captain the side.
Luke Prosser has recovered from a calf problem and takes Cian Bolger’s place at the heart of the back four.
In midfield, Michael Timlin has been handed his first start of the season after recovering from the dislocated elbow he suffered in a pre-season friendly against Tottenham Hotspur.
David Worrall will also make his first league start this term on the right flank where he has been preferred to Kevan Hurst.
Further forward, Jack Payne and Lee Barnard have been selected as both Shaq Coulthirst and Myles Weston drop down on to bench.
