Southend United new Elliot Lee will miss the match at Mansfield Town after suffering hamstring injury hours after signing from West Ham United
SOUTHEND United’s new striker Elliot Lee will miss this afternoon’s game at Mansfield Town after picking up a hamstring injury in training.
Lee joined Blues on a three month loan deal from West Ham United on Friday morning.
But Echosport understands he then picked up the injury in training just a few hours later.
Lee has returned to the Hammers for treatment and his absence leaves the Shrimpers wshort of strikers after Lee Barnard was sent on loan to Stevenage.
