KEVAN Hurst was forced to miss out on Saturday’s win against Northampton Town after suffering a migraine.

The headache restricted Hurst to just an hour’s sleep the night before the game.

And Blues boss Phil Brown therefore decided not to risk him.

“Kevan suffered a migraine which meant he only had an hour’s kip on Friday night,” confirmed Brown.

“He went outside to do a fitness test which I watched before the game and he did about 15 minutes with the ball.

“I made him go back out and do a few headers and he said it was still hurting.

“He offered to play, like I would expect from him but it was too much of a risk.

“In the end, I made up my mind after the physio said if this was a training session then he wouldn’t be training. “
