SOUTHEND United’s on loan striker Shaq Coulthirst scored twice for Tottenham Hotspur’s under 21 team in their 2-1 win against Manchester City tonight.
The 20-year-old has been on the bench for Blues’ last eight games.
And Shrimpers boss Phil Brown welcomed the opportunity for the youngster to get some game time.
“Shaq’s with us on a youth loan so Tottenham can play him in these types of games which he needs at the moment,” said Brown.
“I went along to watch and it was great to see him get a couple of goals.”
Coulthirst headed Tottenham in to the lead at Stevenage’s Broadhall Way stadium and then doubled his tally with a close range finish.
The young striker was joined in the Spurs side by England international defender Kyle Walker.
