SOUTHEND United manager Phil Brown cannot wait to lock horns with Burton Albion boss Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink at Roots Hall tonight.

The former Chelsea and Leeds United striker, whose combined transfer fees totalled £29million in his career, took charge of the Brewers last month.

And Brown was delighted to see the Dutchman join him in League Two.

“I think it’s great and very admirable that Jimmy has started his managerial career in League Two,” said Brown.

“I’ve met him a few times at various functions throughout the years and he’s a really bubbly character.

“I actually didn’t ever know he keen was keen on being a manager but he’s a very good club in Burton.

“I wish him all the best, apart from tonight, and it will be great to see him at Roots Hall .”
