FOUR Conference clubs are fighting to sign Southend United striker Jason Williams on loan.

Welling, Torquay, Aldershot and Lincoln have all expressed an interest in the 19-year-old who spent time on loan with Chelmsford City earlier on this season.

And Blues boss Phil Brown expects Williams to soon depart again.

“We want to get Jason out again and there are four Conference in for him,” said Brown.

“We will have a chat with Jason and then see what we all feel is best for him.”

Brown also revealed that Conference club Bristol Rovers were keen to sign midfielder Conor Clifford who has been made available by Blues.
