TED Smith has been handed his senior debut in goal for Southend United against Accrington Stanley this afternoon.
The 19-year-old shot-stopper has come in for Daniel Bentley who misses out with a slight groin problem.
But the rest of side remains unchanged with both Ben Coker and Adam Thompson both continuing at the heart of the back four despite doubts surrounding their fitness ahead of the game.
Jake Cassidy also continues in attack but there is no place in the squad for either Myles Weston or Adam Barrett.
